Beef Steak Curry Recipe

Curry with Pasta Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 lbs good quality steak, fat trimmed, cut into 1"
cubes (approx)
3 tbsp oil
2 large onions, sliced
6 whole cloves
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cinnamon sticks
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp dried red pepper, crushed
1-1/2 cups whole milk
3 large tomatoes, quartered
3 tbsp any kind of chutney
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ginger
1-1/2 tbsp curry powder (or to taste)
1/2 tsp salt
400 gm Curry Pepper Linguini or any Egg Perfect Pasta
Method:
Sprinkle beef with salt & pepper.
Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a large, heavy pot over high heat.
Add beef to pot & brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
Using slotted spoon transfer beef to plate.
In same pot, heat remaining tbsp oil, & saute onions over med-high
heat, till
translucent.
Return beef to pot with onion, add cloves, garlic, cinnamon sticks,
bay leaf & red pepper; stir 1 minute.
Stir in milk, tomatoes, chutney, lemon juice, ginger, curry & 1/2
tsp salt, bring to
boil;
Rreduce heat, cover & simmer until beef is tender, stirring occasionally,
about 2 hours.
(Ten minutes before mealtime, bring a large pot of salted water to boil
& cook pasta 3 minutes, drain, keep warm.)
Uncover beef mixture, increase heat to medium.
Boil stew until juices are slightly thickened, about 10 minutes.
Serve over the prepared pasta, and eat immediately.
Makes
6 Servings.
