Beef & Mushroom
Stew Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 pound beef stew meat -- cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 tsp seasoned instant meat tenderizer
2 tbl salad oil
1 can mushroom gravy -- (10 1/2 oz)
5 oz uncooked medium noodles
Method:
Sprinkle beef stew meat with tenderizer; pierce each piece with fork.
Cover; refrigerate 2 to 24 hours.
In large skillet, brown stew meat in oil over medium heat.
Reduce heat; stir in gravy.
Cover tightly; simmer about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
(Meat will not be fork-tender but it will be tender to eat.)
Cook noodles as directed on package; drain.
Serve beef stew and gravy on noodles.
3 or 4 servings.
